It was a beautiful high cloud blue sky afternoon on Sunday. On the way back from Cornwall I stopped at Meldon reservoir for a run around some of the tops. My route followed the hills above the West Okement River.
It was just over 3 hours. I got to the car park at 4 and then I was in the cafe at Belstone Services about 8. Next time I think I will do an overnighter and camp below Great Kneeset where there is some flat ground.
How far was this then?
ReplyDeleteAbout 12 miles, we need to do a longer one before you go to Scotland.
ReplyDeletea nice choice of route - time taken?

ReplyDeletePlenty of fine wild camping on Dartmoor Ben. Sounds a fine plan you have there.
ReplyDeleteThe plan at the moment is to go next weekend and camp between Steeperton Tor and Hangingstone Hill. Have you camped round there?
ReplyDeleteNot there Ben but walked there and looks fine for wild camping. Dartmoor has plenty of camping spots. Back there later in the year for me.
